SPECIAL NEEDS
Definition of special needs – any of various difficulties (such as a physical, emotional, behavioral, or learning disability or impairment) that causes an individual to require additional or specialized services or accommodations (such as in education or recreation) students with special needs.
To reiterate, particular educational requirements resulting from learning difficulties, physical disability, or emotional and behavioral difficulties.
The 4 different types of special needs
- Physical — Such as muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, chronic asthma, and epilepsy
- Developmental — Such as Down syndrome, autism, dyslexia, and processing disorders
- Behavioral/Emotional — Such as ADHD, bipolar disorder, or oppositional defiance disorder
- Sensory Impaired — Such as being blind, visually impaired, deaf, or hearing-impaired
MENTAL HEALTH
A mental disorder also called a mental illness or psychiatric disorder, is a behavioral or mental pattern that causes significant distress or impairment of personal functioning. A wide range of conditions that affect mood, thinking, and behavior. Such features may be persistent, relapsing and remitting, or occur as a single episode.

- mood disorders (such as depression or bipolar disorder)
- anxiety disorders.

- psychotic disorders (such as schizophrenia)
- eating disorders.

All donations will be distributed to those with mental health and special needs disabilities, who are in need of poor relief assistance. Donations will also be used for enhancing NWAD’s business needs to better serve the community!
Donations of $250 or more dollars will receive a complimentary apparel item of their choice!
